Frequently Asked Questions – Physical Therapy at Revive
What is Physical Therapy?
Physical therapy is a hands-on, evidence-based approach to relieving pain and restoring function. Our licensed physical therapists specialize in musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. We evaluate how you move, identify the root cause of your pain, and create a plan to help you recover safely and effectively.
Every patient’s experience is different, but most treatment plans include a combination of gentle manual therapy, guided exercises, and specialized equipment. Our goal is to help you move pain-free, restore your mobility, and reduce the risk of future injury.
How do I know if physical therapy will help me?
We’re happy to speak with you about your symptoms and goals. You can also schedule a free 15-minute consultation to determine if physical therapy is the right fit for your needs. Call us today or request your consultation online.
Can I choose where I receive physical therapy?
Yes. As a patient, you have the right to choose your provider. At Revive Physical Therapy, you’ll receive high-quality care in a welcoming, supportive environment. Our experienced team will work with you to help you reach your recovery goals and return to daily life pain-free.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Scheduling is easy. We offer two convenient locations, with flexible appointment times including mornings, evenings, and weekends. Call us today or request an appointment online.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
To help us prepare for your visit, please bring the following:
- Your physical therapy prescription (if required by your provider)
- Your insurance card
- Completed digital intake form (you’ll receive this via email after scheduling)
- If your visit is related to an auto accident or workers’ comp case, bring your claim number and adjuster contact information
- Comfortable clothing that allows access to the area being treated
- Please arrive 15 minutes early to complete any remaining paperwork
Will physical therapy hurt?
Physical therapy is designed to reduce your pain — not cause it. You may experience some temporary soreness as you regain strength or flexibility, especially if you’re using muscles that haven’t been active. Your therapist will always work with you to ensure your treatment is safe, comfortable, and effective.
Does insurance cover physical therapy?
Yes, in most cases. Our team will verify your insurance benefits and let you know what to expect. To learn more, visit our insurance information page or give us a call — we’re happy to help.
What if I don’t have insurance?
No problem. We offer discounted self-pay rates and accept payment at the time of service.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, debit cards, and all major credit cards. If needed, we’re happy to discuss payment plan options. Payment is typically due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows your therapist to easily access the area being treated. Supportive sneakers are recommended for sessions involving movement or exercise.
How long will my sessions last?
Your first visit usually lasts 45 minutes to 1 hour. Follow-up session times may vary depending on your condition and treatment plan. Your therapist will explain the recommended session length at your first appointment.
How many sessions will I need?
Your treatment plan is based on your specific diagnosis, needs, and goals. After your initial evaluation, your therapist will discuss your recommended number of sessions and what to expect along the way.
What qualifications do your therapists have?
All of our physical therapists are licensed healthcare professionals who have completed accredited programs — either at the master’s or doctorate level. They are trained in anatomy, physiology, neurology, and movement science. Learn more about our team on the staff page.
Do you offer support after therapy ends?
Yes! Once your therapy is complete, your therapist will provide a custom home exercise program so you can maintain your progress and continue to feel your best.
What if I’m not sure whether I need physical therapy?
No worries — we offer free 15-minute consultations with a licensed therapist. We’ll help you determine if PT is right for your situation, or suggest additional next steps like imaging or referral to another provider if needed.
